Two (2) “DMMMSUians” are among the Philippines’ Most Outstanding Public Servants who were honored by President Benigno S. Aquino III in a glittering Recognition Rite at the Malacanan Office yesterday (November 9, 2015). They are:
* Mrs. Gloria M. dela Cruz (Agricultural Center Chief IV of the Philippine Carabao Center – DMMMSU Campus, Rosario, La Union and 1978 BS Agriculture graduate of DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, LU) – who was one of the 9 individuals and 2 groups who received the CSC Pagasa Award “for outstanding contribution resulting from an idea or performance which directly benefit more than one department of the government;” and
* Mrs. Lilibeth Bigornia-Martin (Medical Technologist II, Provincial Health Office – Provincial Government of Abra, Bangued, Abra and a PhD student of the DMMMSU Open University System) – who was one of the 11 recipients of the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award “for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security, and patrimony.” Ms Martin put up the country’s first Provincial Malaria Elimination Hub.
